Hello there fellow humans!
I hope you're doing well?
I am :)
2012 is shaping up to be a good year, Alhamdulillah.
So.
What has happened so far???
Well. I actually had decided to start up a 366 this year after successfully completing my 365 last year, but then, upon finding out that Flickr has a 200 photo limit (unless you pay and upgrade to a pro account), I decided to stop. Sad indeed :( but it's alright, perhaps now I shall blog more!
You can still check out the first month of my 2012 on my Flickr though, if you wish :)
Now let's get on my time machine and see what has happened so far since I wrote here on New Year's Eve!
I'll start with the highlights first:
First off, AP! 14th January.
This year's AP was at Crowne Plaza, KL :) It was a lovely night spent with great buddies. Had a wonderful time although the food was pricey...teehee. Most of us chose to have the buffet; they had a lot of different food!
We didn't take lots of group photos like we did last year though, which I regret! But that's alright, we have next year to do that, don't we?
Everyone :) excluding me, who took the photo!
Now, THIS is everyone! Our only "group photo", lol.
The girls <3
Then, I went to Singapore on the 21st of January with my lovely cousins (The KR family!) to watch Wicked the musical! Oh god. It was amazing. I loved every minute of it! Would love to see it again.
The cast was just great. The music? We were all singing it weeks after seeing the show.
Heck, I just sang it earlier during my shower...
Anyway!
You guys should definitely check it out if you can!
My cousins, sister and I :)
Omar took the photo!
After the show, we got to take a photo with one of the actors! He played Fiyero :)
Lol I'm looking at the other camera.
This was my first time going to Singapore! (not counting the time I went when I was a baby).
Had a good time, thanks again Uncle Karl and family <3
And now for the last highlight (for now!):
This is only part 1 of 2.
Meeting Phil and Wes from WongFu Productions!
Now, I am going to blog about this IN DETAIL, because I told Aifa I would.
Now, Julia, Aqilah, Joon Keit, Mun Hong and I joined this video competition to win tickets to brunch with Phil and Wes.
But due to some unfairness on the organisers' part, and some other stupid crap, we did not win.
(for the record, we were pretty upset about this. Well, I was, anyway! But will not tell the full story as there is no point :p)
Anyway, we joined another competition by Hitz FM to try and meet them.
I did not win :(
But Mun Hong did!
He was allowed to bring a friend for the meet and greet, and he so kindly asked me to go with him!
(I pretty much begged him to bring me if he could once I knew he won the competition...sorry!)
Thank you once more, Mun Hong! I really appreciate it :D
You don't have to get me a birthday present this year hahahaha.
So, the day of the meet and greet came! Mun Hong picked me up at about 5pm, and off we went to the Astro office! (which is also where the Hitz office is)
We kinda got a bit lost, so it took us some time to get there. The jam didn't help!
What we saw on the way there! WFP! WongFu Productions!
When we got there, we were led by one of the Hitz people, Aaron, to the cafeteria.
I went to pray first cause it was already maghrib time, then went to eat with the rest :)
Didn't manage to finish my cantonese kuey teow in time, haha oh well!
Was excited to go up to the studio :p
Excited faces!
When we got up to the studio, we were told by Jin (Hitz DJ) to wait in this room, which turned out to be Mix FM's recording studio!
So we posed with the equipment, teehee.
Pretty cool stuff.
See that huge window? We (us and the other winners + their friends) were all standing there with our cameras waiting for Phil and Wes. Like animals in a zoo. Or paparazzi, lol.
Steve and Ryan from Mix FM printed out a sign that said "please don't feed the fans" and put it on the window for Phil and Wes to see, hahahaha.
Winners of the contest and their friends :)
Mun Hong with his Astro visitor's pass.
Anyway, eventually, after waiting a little while, Phil & Wes came!
I was such a fangirl. It's embarassingggg. I spazzed hahaha.
I took a video too! Which I will probably not post anywhere...
I was all like "HI PHIL! HI WES!" in my high pitched voice.
Good lord.
Still, it was pretty cool seeing them in the flesh! They look good, lol.
And tall!
They came into the room for a little while to shake hands with us and say hi, then Jin whisked them off to the studio for their radio interview.
We got to go in during the last 10 minutes of the interview, which was fun :)
After that was finally the meet and greet!
We got to go in two by two to take a photo with them. Didn't really get to talk to them though, but ah well.
I did manage to ask them if they thought Mun Hong looked like Phil though!
Wes agreed and said, "I was gonna say that!" and Phil just agreed hahaha.
Actually I'm not too sure what Phil said exactly, it was all a blur to me lol. But pretty sure he agreed!
<3
They're tall la ok.
And I'm short :p
So after all of us got our photos taken with Phil and Wes, we were sent once more to the Mix FM studio. Steve was on air! Pretty cool, lol.
People who work at radio stations are friendly and nice :) had a good time with them!
Seems like a fun working environment!
After a little while, Phil and Wes came out of the Hitz office to leave :(
They came into the Mix room to see us first, though!
That's when we all practically mobbed them cause we didn't get to get their autographs earlier :p
Mun Hong and I wanted to get signed polaroids!
So I quickly asked Phil if we could get a quick polaroid photo :)
DO THEY LOOK ALIKE OR WHAT EH?!
Phil didn't get to sign it on that day though! The both of them left pretty much right after we took this photo!
Wanted to get one with Wes as well (I was nearly grabbing him to take the photo), but the organisers were already getting them to leave, so we didn't get one :(
Here's another angle lol, taken by either Felicia or Rachel (thanks!!), one of the other winners.
Even after Phil and Wes left, we stuck around the Mix studio for a little while, lol.
Steve did an impromptu interview with Joseph Germani!
Aaaaand that was the end of that day!
Reached home at 11+pm.
Thanks Mun Hong for picking me up and sending me home :)
Phew.
This post is LONG.
And I still have a lot of things to say!
I will have to continue with the rest another day though, because I have assignments to do.
Til next time, folks :)
